Edit copy directly on the canvas, then use Properties to adjust typography, position, size, and appearance.
Select a layer
Click a layer on the canvas, or select it in the Layers panel.
Use the Properties panel on the right to review its controls.
Edit text on the canvas
Double-click a Text layer, or select it and press Enter.
Place the insertion point and type the new copy.
Click outside the text to keep the edit.
Press Esc while editing to cancel and restore the original copy. Use Properties for font, size, alignment, color, spacing, decoration, and text-box behavior—not for entering the text itself.
Move, resize, and style a layer
Drag the selected layer to move it.
Drag its handles to resize it when supported.
Use Transform in Properties for precise position, size, or rotation.
Use the layer-specific sections in Properties for typography, appearance, layout, and other controls.
Edit an image directly
Double-click an Image layer, or select it and press Enter.
Drag inside the image bounds to reposition the image content.
Use the Image section in Properties to adjust fit, fill, crop, scale, anchor, or offset.
Click outside the image or press Esc to leave image editing. Your crop and positioning changes are kept.
Troubleshooting
If Properties shows Visual settings, select a specific layer instead of the Visual frame.
If double-click enters a group, enter the group first and then select the nested Text or Image layer.
If a layer cannot be edited, unlock it. Template-controlled content may need to be changed in Table.
